Track Cycling in Western Australia is one of our most successful sports and the SpeedDome plays host to elite junior and senior events and is the training ground for Australia’s next crop of cycling superstars.
With the venue open all year round, user groups include schools, corporate sessions, masters’ cyclists, high performance training and junior development sessions.
X-Speed Australia Cycle Club holds regular sessions for junior and masters’ cyclists.
Kids sessions are held every Monday and Thursday throughout the year from 4.30-6.00pm, with advanced junior and master’s sessions running Thursday nights from 6.00-8.00pm. Dedicated track bikes are used for training and racing on the velodrome and are available to hire for five dollars per session. Children as young as eight years old can try the track providing they are able to safely fit our smaller size bikes.
A controlled and safe environment to teach juniors the skill level required to ride and race safely on the road, the velodrome is the ideal place for both recreational and racing juniors to hone their craft.
With 45 degree banking on the purpose built track, the sport is an exhilarating spectacle to behold, particularly the gladiatorial sprint events. If quality endurance training is more to your liking we run general endurance conditioning sessions for most of the year.
If your looking to improve your fitness or skill level on the bike then Track Cycling in Western Australia is the discipline for you.
